After years of uncertainty about what happens to household soft plastics, a new Australian brand is proving they can be recycled, and reused, right here at home.
Rawspec, launched by Holloway Group, is using 100% Australian-sourced recycled plastics, including post-consumer soft plastics (LDPE) and recycled polypropylene (PP) and turning them into durable, Australian-made products from storage crates and pails to construction materials.
Made using certified recycled resin from household soft plastics, the Rawspec range showcases how waste can become durable, high-performance products made in Australia.
The rollout of the 23 durable product lines begins this November, with products set to reach major retailers and local councils across Australia in the coming months, a tangible step toward a functioning circular economy.

Australians generate more than 538,000 tonnes of soft plastics waste every year, much of which has historically gone to landfill. The collapse of supermarket soft plastics collection schemes left many questioning whether these materials could ever be recycled at scale.
